Secondary Teacher – Food Science and Technology (Part time)

Due to growing student numbers, we are seeking to employ a highly motivated and innovative teacher to join the Austin Cove Baptist College Secondary School community. The position will be 0.86 FTE and commence at the beginning of 2022.  

The ideal candidate would be dynamic and enthusiastic in their approach to delivering the Curriculum as well as having the ability to work collaboratively with the whole school community. The candidate will have the willingness to learn in a supportive environment.

The ideal candidate would have experience collaborating with colleagues and leading a team. They would have Drama experience and be required to teach Drama as well as other subjects within The Arts.  The successful candidate will have a solid work ethic, friendly nature and be a conscientious, committed Christian.

PRIMARY TEACHER

We are currently seeking to employ a highly motivated Primary Teacher to be part of the Austin Cove Baptist College community. The position is Full Time (1.0 FTE) Primary school teacher, in a Year 6 classroom for 2022. We require a Teacher to strengthen an already strong team. Successful applicants will achieve this by working collaboratively and supportively with the whole school community to give the best opportunities available to our students.

The Teacher will have responsibility for a class but have skills in team leading and exhibiting the characteristics of best class practice. The successful applicant will need to demonstrate Child Safe practices and be committed to implementing Protective Behaviours curriculum within the classroom. Successful candidates will have a solid work ethic, friendly nature and be a conscientious, committed Christian able to demonstrate this through membership and regular attendance in a local church.

Employer

The College is a part of Australian Baptist Education and is governed by the College Board. The College Board appoints the College Principal who is responsible for the leadership of the College. Teachers report directly to the Deputy Principal and ultimately the Principal of the Primary School.

Laboratory/Food Technician (Secondary)

We are currently seeking to employ a highly motivated and innovative Laboratory/Food Technician to join the Austin Cove Baptist College Secondary School community. The position will be 0.2 FTE (1 full day - Friday) and commence in February 2022. This contract is fixed term and terminates on 31 December 2022.

The role holder works in collaboration with and under the immediate direction of the appropriate Heads of Departments. The role holder is responsible for assisting the Science and Food Technologies departments’ teaching and learning programs by providing assistance to teachers and students when required by the teaching staff particularly in the practical program. The role holder will also provide assistance in planning, selection of equipment and work organisation and services within the mentioned Departments.

The successful candidate will have a solid work ethic, friendly nature and be a conscientious, committed Christian.
