Primary Teacher - Library Specialist

We are currently seeking to employ a highly motivated Primary Teacher to be part of the Austin Cove Baptist College community. The position is Part Time (0.5 FTE) fixed term contract until the end of 2021, working Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

The Library Teacher will have responsibility for the administration of the Primary Library as well as specialist Library classes for Pre-Primary to Year 6 over 2.5 days.

Education Assistants (Primary)

We are currently seeking to employ highly motivated, experienced Education Assistants within the Austin Cove Baptist College community. We will be appointing an Education Assistant in Primary to work with students in Years 2-4. This position is full time but may be split into two part time positions, depending on the suitability of applicants. This fixed term position will commence in Term 3 2021.

  • We are also seeking reliable, conscientious Education Assistant to join the relief pool in Primary.

Selection Criteria

Highly desired Qualities

  • Certificate IV in Education Support or equivalent.
  • Ability to solve problems, set priorities, support others, show initiative and be flexible.
  • A strong communicator, high social and emotional intelligence, and a commitment to relationship and collaborative practice.
  • A track record in assisting and supporting the diverse needs of students, preferably within early childhood and Lower Primary.

Essential

  • An ability to clearly articulate a strong, personal Christian faith

Design: Photography Teacher (Secondary)

We are currently seeking to employ a highly motivated and innovative teacher to join the Austin Cove Baptist College Secondary School community. The position will be 0.357 FTE over 2 days (Tuesdays and Thursdays) and commence at the start of Term 3 2021. This contract is fixed term and terminates on 31 December 2021.

The ideal candidate will have teaching experience in Photography across 8-12, with no ATAR experience necessary and be dynamic, enthusiastic and innovative in their approach to delivering the Curriculum as well as having the ability to work collaboratively with the whole school community.

 

Selection Criteria

Essential

  • To have a personal faith and commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ including regular church attendance and a lifestyle consistent with the expectations of Christian faith
  • Be a qualified teacher registered with the TRBWA and hold a Working With Children Check

Highly Desired Qualities

  • Be highly motivated and organised
  • Have demonstrated knowledge of the curriculum requirements set by the School Curriculum and Standards Authority
  • Have demonstrated experience in developing and implementing programs from Year 7-12
  • Works well in a team

We are currently seeking to employ a highly motivated and innovative Education Assistant to join the Austin Cove Baptist College Secondary School community. The position will be 0.8 FTE (4 full days) and commence in May 2021. This contract is fixed term and terminates on 31 December 2021. Continuing employment is subject to government funding and student numbers requiring learning support. This role will suit candidates who are passionate about learning, student development and providing excellent pastoral care of students. The successful candidate will have a solid work ethic, friendly nature and be a conscientious, committed Christian.

Selection Criteria

  • Hold an Education (Teachers’) Assistant Certificate qualification from a recognised education institution
  • Current Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and Working with Children Check (WWC)
