Assemblies

College Assemblies

Assemblies are held on a fortnightly basis in the undercover area.

When a community of students, staff and parents are involved in celebrating the work and efforts of students it helps to build appreciation, respect and love for others.  Assemblies also provide students with a different audience to which they can present their work.

Primary Goings On

Artist of the Fortnight

Hi my name is Noel Lee.

I’m in Year 3C and my teacher is Mrs Rankin. I started at ACBC in 2017 and came from Living Waters Lutheran College.

When I am older I would like to be an Engineer like my Dad who is a Chemical Engineer. Dad is really good at fixing stuff.

Outside of school I love doing lots of things; diving into the pool on hot days, riding my scooter to the park and having an ice-cream are some of them.

My favourite subjects would probably be Math and Grammar, even though sometimes I don’t get a ‘B’.

My favourite colour is BLUE, because there are lots of shades of it and it’s a bright colour.

Pancake Friday

Thank you to everyone who participated in Pancake Day on Friday, 16 February. Mr Newby, the Year 6 Captains, Ms Templeman Twells and Mr Haugh spent the morning cooking pancakes and serving them to the classes. Mr Newby’s comment was how well the Captains worked together and served the school pancakes all morning. He was very impressed with their work effort.

We celebrate Pancake Day as a school to commemorate Shrove Tuesday, the start of the Lent period in the lead up to Easter.
